About the T27 client

The HGS T27 Client is the web-launched T27 emulator served by HGS. It runs as a Windows Forms application under AppDep, so users start it from a browser link without installing anything by hand. The window combines a host screen, a menu bar, a tool bar of action buttons, and an editable status line.

Menus

  • File — connect/disconnect, print screen, save screen, exit.
  • Edit — copy/paste between host and clipboard.
  • Macros — record, play, and manage keystroke macros.
  • View — toggle the tool bar, status line, and screen size.
  • Options — colours, fonts, keyboard layout, and session preferences.
  • Window — switch between multiple host sessions in the same client.
  • Help — Contents, This Window, About.

Tool bar buttons

Each tool bar button maps to a frequently used T27 action — transmit, reset, function keys, and macro playback. Buttons are configurable from Options so each user can keep the keys they actually use within reach.

Macros

Macros record a sequence of keystrokes and field updates and replay them on demand. Use the Macros menu to record, edit, and bind macros to tool-bar buttons or function keys. Macros distribute alongside the screen configuration, so an admin can ship a baseline set to every user.

Help inside the client

Help → Contents opens the full reference. Help → This Window context-switches to documentation for the dialog the user is currently in — useful when training new operators on the Options dialogs.
