HGS T27 Configuration Administrator

Server-side admin tool for the HGS T27 client — video, datacomm, keyboard, screen appearance, layouts, schemes, macros, and session setup.

Last updated December 29, 2008

Purpose

The HGS T27 Configuration Administrator manages the T27 session settings served by HGS — the same options users see in their HGS T27 Client, but defined centrally so every web-launched session inherits the right defaults.

Configuration tabs

  • Video Options — screen size, colours, cursor and blink behaviour.
  • DataComm Options — host transport, polling, and timeouts.
  • Keyboard Options — keymap selection and modifier behaviour.
  • Screen Appearance — fonts and per-attribute colours.
  • Keyboard Layout — visual editor for remapping keys.
  • Application Scheme — bundle of look-and-feel settings users can switch between.
  • Macros — author and distribute keystroke macros.

HGS Session Setup

The Session Setup section defines which host sessions are exposed to users. New Session creates a route entry that maps a friendly name to an HGS T27 virtual destination plus the configuration set above; users see the friendly name in their client's connect dialog.

Distribution

Saved configurations are pushed by HGS to the client at session start, so admin-side changes take effect on the next launch — there's no per-user rollout step.
